She wouldn't budge!

Penelope Cruz appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday and Dave didn't beat around the bush when he asked the actress if she was engaged to actor Javier Bardem.

Penelope laughed and replied, "I don't feel comfortable talking about my private life in public."

Engagement rumors began when Pene sported a big old sapphire and diamond ring on her left hand in October during the Broken Embraces premiere.

Letterman continued to press the issue with Penelope and she responded:

"I've been here a few times with you, you know I'm tough. One thing I don't do, I don't lie about my personal life. It's sacred to me. It's my life. But I don't give details about it because I am allergic to that."

Dave followed up with, "So you know, but you don't want to tell me?" and Cruz confirmed, "I know, but I choose not to share some things."

We know you're a notoriously private couple, but with all the laughing and refusal to answer the question leads us to believe one thing: You're one lucky girl and totally engaged to that hot piece of man!

Could the selection process be any more random?!

After reports of Miley Cyrus and Liza Minelli making cameos in Sex and the City 2, it seems there is an Oscar-winner joining the cast!

Penelope Cruz just filmed a scene for the highly anticipated sequel, in which she will be playing herself on the red carpet.

Caliente!

And although it was rumored that Beyonce would be in the film, she'll only be there is song. Liza will be singing Single Ladies at the wedding of Stanford and Anthony in which Carrie's the best man!

And that wasn't even a play on her looks!

Is Penelope Cruz Madonna's new bestie?

The two were spotted dining out together at Mr. Chow last Friday in New York City with their respective love interests — Penelope with rumored fiance Javier Bardem and Madonna with model Jesus Luz.

Madge was said to be sipping on martinis while Penelope stuck to non-alcoholic beverages, further implying that the actress could be pregnant!

Pene and Madonna were also hanging out the next night at a dinner for Spanish director Pedro Almodovar!

We love this fierce BFF pairing, but we sincerely hope Her Madgesty isn't gunning for a role in an Almodovar film.

Stick to what you're GREAT at, 'bb!

The upcoming musical Nine with its star-studded cast of Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and Dame Judi Dench is being pushed back to a wide-release on Christmas Day.

Originally the film was supposed to see a Thanksgiving weekend release, but now it will take on the Christmas box office competing with Robert Downey, Jr. in Sherlock Holmes and Meryl Streep in It's Complicated.

The Weinstein Company asserts that the later release is not because of production delays, so why the change?

It does look like a pretty glitzy, glamorous flick! More suited to the Christmas spirit perhaps?

Although the film is about a director and his affairs with multiple women, so maybe not.

After pregnancy and engagement rumors, Penelope Cruz cemented any preconceived notions with a stunning ring on that special finger of commitment.

Penelope's bling was a stunning knuckle-sized sapphire surrounded by small diamonds. It was quite the statement to wear to the premiere of her film Broken Embraces in NYC on Sunday.

The actress would not talk about what the ring signified, but we know one thing for sure - Javier Bardem has great taste!

This isn't gonna help those pesky pregnancy rumors!

According to the NY Daily News, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are engaged!

The couple, who will not even cop to dating, are telling those closest to them the good news!

"They're telling friends they will get married," said a source close to the pair.

Some say that the wedding is to please Cruz's Catholic parents.

Publicists for both parties refused to comment.

You know what they say: no news is good news!

Congrats, kids!!!

Even though Penelope Cruz has appeared to be sporting quite the baby bump these days, Pene claims the rumors aren't true!

Says Cruz, "I start getting some presents from friends saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' And I say, 'No, I'm not, so return the presents.'"

Pene finds the whole debacle "amazing," but we think we may have a liar on our hands!

Further fueling our suspicions that Penelope Cruz is preggers, the Spanish actress was spotted in L.A. yesterday, sporting what appears to be a growing baby bump!

Pene and hunky actor Javier Bardem have been together quite some time now.

If she is having a baby, boy or girl, it's sure to be a stunner!

They're making the rounds!

Last week, we saw director Pedro Almodovar and brown-eyed beauty Penelope Cruz at the London premiere of their film, Broken Embraces. 

Now, the dynamic duo were all smiles at the Berlin premiere of the flick. Afterward, they headed to dinner with friends and colleagues to celebrate. 

But there's something odd about Pene.

Does she look a little thicker in the tummy area? Was she bloated? Stomach cramps? Or is there something more to it?

She definitely picked a good dress which helped minimize the extra weight around the belly.

What do U think?

She definitely seems to be caressing her stomach as well.

Just sayin'.
