The supremely handsome Patrick Dempsey has signed on to star and produce an untitled bank-heist comedy written by The Hangover screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

Patrick will play a man caught up in between two different robberies in the same bank while trying to protect one of the tellers whom he secretly loves.

Sounds just all right, but at least it's an original script!

Some celebs are known for their fashion sense - or lack of. And it's only natural that they venture off to create their own fashion or perfume lines. But when you think of Grey's Anatomy actor Patrick Dempsy, the word trendsetter doesn't really come to mind.

Though that hasn't stopped McDreamy from launching his own fragrance.

Twice!

Last summer Dempsey launched his first fragrance, Unscripted. And, now, the hottie will launch his new cologne with Avon this November.

The fragrance will be a mixture of "mandarin, nutmeg, spiced wood accord and patchouli" and is targeted at a "budget-friendly price of $35 for a 2.5-oz. bottle."

So what's the new scent going to be called?

Patrick reveals that “It’s about the intimacy of two people and the strength you get in a relationship. I thought, why don’t we just go with ‘2′ and make this about being a couple.”

Sort of like CK2, right?

Grey's Anatomy stud Patrick Dempsey has revealed on the Ellen Show that he too was caught off guard by the sudden termination of Brooke Smith's character, Dr. Erica Hahn, from the show.

He also told the married talk show host that the bosses at ABC 'told' him what to say about the firing:

“ABC actually sends me over what I should [say] …ABC’s response … is that [I] should say: ‘We’ve had a great time working with her and that the conclusion of her [character] has been orgasmic’ — I’m sorry, I’m dyslexic! — ‘organic’ ending to the story line.’“

Spin, spin, spin!

Patrick Dempsey had hearts swooning in this hometown Lewiston, Maine, on Monday.

The Grey's Anatomy hunk launched the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at the Central Maine Medical Center.

Dempsey's center is designed to help cancer patients and their families get free information and support both online and at the hospital. It will also offer programs like massage therapy and yoga that are clinically proven to help cancer patients heal. Also, staff will be traveling to more rural areas to bring services to patients who may not be able to come to Lewiston.

Ya, he's pretty damn near perfect.

And that hair!

Dempsey said, "I think that it's very important for anybody going through cancer treatment today is just to have a person there, so you're not being treated like a number and that's what we're trying to acheive."

McDreamy was inspired to "give back" because his mother, Amanda, has been successfully treated for ovarian cancer at CMMC three times. His sister, Mary, also works there.

The Patrick Dempsey Center's facility won't be open until later this month, but the website with cancer and wellness information is live.

Patrick Dempsey is making the most of his time off from Grey's Anatomy.

Indulging in his race car hobby, the actor suited up and was spotted in the pits for the Fresh From Florida 200 Koni Challange Series at Daytona International Speedway on Friday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Just be careful there, McDreamy.

Grey's Anatomy hottie Patrick Dempsey is the new face of Versace.

Dr. McDreamy just shot the fashion house's upcoming Spring/Summer men’s advertising campaign.

"Patrick represents everything that is great about this collection,” says Donatella Versace. "He has that confidence, completely comfortable in his own skin, that is so attractive.”

Fames photog Mario Testino shot the campaign.

"It was so lovely to work with Donatella Versace, she is an iconic and inspirational woman and a wonderful person, not to mention what a pleasure it was to work with Mario Testino too, one of the world's finest photographers," Dempsey said in a statement.

Oh yeah, he forgot to say, "I only did this for the money. And I got paid a lot, bitches!"
