Actor Tobey Maguire was spotted out with his wife Jennifer Meyer and their two children Ruby and Otis going for lunch in El Lay as a family this weekend.

As it is slated to soon start production in March with a spring 2011 release date, director Sam Raimi has started gabbing about the deets concerning Spider-Man 4.

We all know that Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Drunky Dunst are reprising their roles (whether they like it or not), but after three films, the big question is what the hell will the movie actually be about!

Well, Sam has thought about this pivotal point and he revealed that the idea of this film will be following Peter Parker as he tries to find the ultimate balance between his personal life and his hero duties:

"I think it's about putting his head down and moving forward with the knowledge that he has this responsibility. And it's about the growth of that understanding, that it encompasses more than just his sense of duty toward others but he also has a sense of responsibility as a human being toward the ones he loves."

Um, sorry, but weren't the last three movies basically about the same thing?

Here's hoping it doesn't go the way of the musical!

As we mentioned last year, the Spiderman spinoff, Venon, was approved by Sony studios.

The flick centers around Venom, a parasite that attaches itself to a host via a gooey substance and then gives them special powers.

And now we find out that Gary Ross might be writing the script. And he might even be producing it as well.

Ross directed both Pleasantville and Seabiscuit, which just happened to star Tobey Maguire.

However, the studio refused to comment on Ross' involvement with the script of his potential producing role.

But he's not alone on working on the script, as Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Jacob Estes are also working on it.

Hope it's not a flop!

Mark your calendar Spider-Man fans!

After the first three flicks grossed over $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office, it was only a matter of time before the next sequel was released.

And Spider-Man 4 will now be released in both IMAX and regular movie theaters May 5th, 2011.

The musical might be on the outs, but the movies are still coming on strong!

Though admittedly trying to keep the projects hush-hush, it was revealed in Varity that Sony has signed screenwriter James Vanderbilt to pen Spider-Man 5 and Spider-Man 6.

James has already finished Spider-Man 4, that begins production early 2010.

However, it is fairly certain to both us and everyone else that there is little chance that Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and acclaimed director Sam Raimi will return for two more franchised flicks. It took forever to get them to agree on the fourth one. Sources say if that is the case, then a revamp of the series will have to happen.

A revamp already? How about just no more movies?!!!

Save the money and the energy!!!

Of all the celebrity families out here that could sign up for a reality show, the Maguire camp would be one of the last ones we'd come up with.

But here it is: Growing Up Maguire?!

Tobey Maguire's Mom, Wendy Maguire, will star in the show that is meant to show how her " sacrifices to shield her children from the downside of the entertainment industry."

She has one young son, Weston, 15, along with Toby, who is suppose to bring the "action" to the show with his love of extreme sports, like motocross, skateboards and snowboards.

Fascinating!

We'll pass.

This is the second baby for the couple.

The new tot joins older sister Ruby.

The actor's rep says that the family is "healthy and happy."

Move over Jennifer Garner, there's a new parent-baby combo out in town.

On Friday, Tobey Maguire was spotted leaving Barneys in New York with his adorable daughter, Ruby Maguire, in the stroller. Oh, and his non-celeb wifey was also there.

The happy family strolled down the streets of New York with baby Ruby all bundled up.

Perhaps that's a trend Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes should follow!
