Katie Couric Responds To Sarah Palin!

ap090726033989sp__opt21.jpg

We're sure that Sarah Palin had hoped that adding in some stories with famous names attached in her new book, Going Rogue, would garner her some attention.

Hard to sell a book these days that isn't filled with gossip or vampires!

But, it seems that her mission has backfired as while she made have attempted to ruffle some feathers with her book, really all she did was prove she is an idiot!

Don't you just love when that happens?

Pathetic Palin first took a stab at Alec Baldwin and her guest appearance with him on SNL. According to Palin, she had other ideas than the one chosen for her skit, but they were all refuted and turned down by the actor. She makes it sound like Alec is a some big, bad bully, when truly, her ideas sucked and they told her so! She wanted to add a line in reference to Baldwin's supposed claim that if George Bush won his second term in office, he would leave the country.

Problem is, and as Alec's rep, Matt Hiltzik explained to the press, this never happened.

He says:

“They nixed the joke because the underlying premise just wasn’t true, because he had never said [he was leaving the country]. It’s a complete fallacy. But then, once Palin knew that, after telling her [it wasn't true], she said, ‘Well, let’s say it anyway,’ like she needed it to be true.”

Of course! She couldn't come off looking like an imbecile - again!

But perhaps the biggest display of her idiocy is portrayed in her infamous Katie Couric interview. Palin claims that she was badgered thought the interview, which is a pretty hefty claim against Katie. However, her rep, who is also Matt Hiltzik, had only one thing to say:

“The interview speaks for itself.”

It most certainly does!

How's that massive hole you are digging for yourself there, Palin?

Sexy Sarah Goes Rogue And Slams Katie Couric!

katesarah.jpg

In her 413-page excuse for validity, Going Rogue, Sarah Palin criticizes CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric over their infamous 2008 interview.

Palin claims that McCain campaign aide Nicolle Wallace encouraged the interview and told her how much Katie admired her. It was introduced as a favor to Couric, who had low ratings and suffered from low self-esteem. Palin even began to "feel sorry" for the multi-millionaire news anchor.

Bitch, please! As if Katie Couric would have her on to give a self-esteem pep talk!!!

Sexy Sarah claims that Katie surprised her by acting condescending, biased and "badgering."

If she thinks that is bad, how was she gonna handle world leaders?!

In the book, Palin accused Couric of airing "gotcha" moments and editing out the more substantial remarks. Not to mention, going much easier on rival Joe Biden.

Or could it just be that he was prepared for the interview?! It's not like they had a conversation about ponies or anything!

But, Palin wants round 2!

"If I get the opportunity, I'd be thrilled to talk to her again," she said.

Would U watch them go at it?!

Preview Of Sexy Sarah On Oprah

Sexy Sarah Palin's interview with Oprah Winfrey doesn't air until Monday, but here's a little preview of what's to come including tidbits about Levi Johnston and her HOrrific interview with Katie Couric last year.

She's a little easier to stomach when she's not up for vice-president of the country, but she still makes our eyes roll!

We wonder what Levi thinks about being "part of the family"?

Howie Mandel And Katie Couric Make The $ame $alary!

wenn2531023hm.jpg

And Katie Couric delivers the CBS Evening News while Howie Mandel hosts Deal or No Deal.

As sad a statement as that may be, don't feel too bad for Katie. She's pocketing $15 million a year!

Forbes revealed their highest paid primetime television personalities with Simon Cowell topping the list at $75 million! And that's just on American television! Cowell appears on both Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor in the UK.

Donald Trump
follows Simon at $50 million with Ryan Seacrest taking the 3rd place spot at $35 million. Charlie Sheen and Steve Carell are in 4th and 5th place with $21 million and $20 million respectively.

But the moral of this story is that Howie Mandel makes $15 million a year!

It's inspirational! If he can do it, so can you!

Diane Sawyer Leaving Good Morning America For The World News!

wenn5322208diane.jpg

Diane Sawyer is leaving ABC's Good Morning America for bigger and better things!

Sawyer will be taking the place of ABC World News anchor Charles Gibson starting in January, when he retires!

What will this mean for GMA? And their ratings!

Diane is the second female anchor ever to make the move from daytime to nighttime - the first was Katie Couric when she left NBC's Today for CBS' Evening News back in 2006.

ABC News President David Westin has shared some positively glowing remarks about Sawyer with the press, stating that Diane "is the right person to succeed Charlie and build on what he has accomplished."

Westin's raving continued: "She has an outstanding and varied career in television journalism, beginning with her role as a State Department correspondent and continuing at 60 Minutes, Primetime Live, and Good Morning America."

Impressive!

Weston says Sawyer will "continue with her documentaries" on World News and believes the network is "fortunate" to have a journalist of Diane's caliber joining the World News team.

Congrats!

Couric Doing Well

wenn52482142.jpg

Finally, after two years of hosting the CBS Evening News, Katie Couric has managed to increase her ratings.

It's about time!

She's repeatedly placed third nationally in the evening news ratings, always behind ABC and NBC. But, here's something to gloat about.

Reports now show that Couric has beaten NBC's Nightly News in the New York market for at least the past six months.

Even in the last month alone, she's increased her overall viewers by 22%. So what's going on? Is she doing something new and different?

According to Couric, "It's all due to the staff, the correspondents and producer Rick Kaplan. It takes a while for anything to click and for people to get used to me."

She adds about first starting out that "I was naive to think we could try certain things. I didn't realize how white-hot the spotlight would be."

Ya think Katie can make the good ratings stay???

Couric Gets Scooped

katiesullymatt__opt.jpg

What goes around comes around!

The pilot of the US Airways plane that landed on the Hudson River was set to go on the Today show with Matt Lauer for his first interview about that history-making day.

However, after some last minute "complications", Katie Couric and her people were able to snag the interview with Pilot Chesley (Sully) Sullenberger away from NBC.

Well, the best part is that Sully has now spoken with ESPN's Rick Reilly - BEFORE Katie! The interview took place rather quickly during the Super Bowl festivies this past weekend. Sully and his crew attended the game on Sunday as guests of the NFL Commissoner.

Couric must be grinding her chipmunk teeth in anger!

So, in his first interview ever since the plane crash, Sully spoke with NBC CBS ESPN and said, "It was very quiet as we worked, my co-pilot and I. We were a team. But to have zero thrust coming out of those engines was shocking - the silence."

When asked how he felt as he started to land the plane, Sully responded, "Calm on the outside, turmoil inside."

Even Sully's wife spoke out. She said they've received so much fan mail they read it together at night before going to bed. Adding, "It allows both of us to express emotion about it all. We both sit there and cry."

And if you still want to watch CBS's 60 Minutes "exclusive", you can catch it this Sunday evening with Sully and his wife chatting about the incident, again.

We're sure NBC is loving this!
