Britney Spears

She Was Scared Of Celine

Britney Spears‘s new album, Blackout, is being released early. Her label, Jive Records, has announced that they are pushing up the release date to October 30th.
Will it be a trick or a treat?
Our money’s on rotten candy!
The official reason being given for the change is “internet leaks.” A label rep tells People:
“Due to these numerous unauthorized online leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to Oct. 30.”
Wethinks the real reason that the album is being moved is that the record was originally slated to come out on November 13th, the same day as Celine Dion‘s hotly anticipated new record, which is expected to do quite well.
Both albums are being released on labels owned by Sony BMG and they probably didn’t want Britney to look bad when Celine outsold her.
We’ve heard almost all the songs on Brit Brit’s new album.
Our verdict?
Major suckage!
