The testy rocker is talking about his VMA fight with Tommy Lee, his ex Pamela Anderson and he even shares his thoughts on Britney and Kanye.
Kid Rock was on The Mikey Morning Show on Rock 105.3 in San Diego on Thursday talking about the brawl and what caused him and Tommy to get into a girlfight and much more!
On Britney…
Kid Rock: How does MTV do that, with like, is there some sort of special editing or camera filters they use, how do they make like Britney Spears look overweight and like she’s lip-synching like that? That was incredible.
On Kanye….
Kid: And then obviously with Kanye West not winning the award, we know Bush doesn’t like black people, apparently MTV doesn’t either. I was walking through the press line you know and he came storming through like Norman, like hey you know, like it was D-Day or something. I’m like calm down man, it’s just a kind of corny award show.
On Tommy’s Blogging…
Kid: Did you see my blog? (No they said) You know why? Cause I don’t talk. And he’s doing what he does best, he’s talking. I mean this is what stars all seem to be doing. And I really can├óΓé¼Γäót say a lot about it, my attorneys told me not to obviously, but I think there’s enough eyewitnesses there to say what happened and of course he has a different story which makes perfect sense.
They describe the scene and what happened, and ask what started it all….
Kid: Well there’s a lot of history there, obviously. It├óΓé¼Γäós just a lot of mouth talking, a lot being extremely disrespectful for a long time. To even be in the same room it’s kinda like, I was trying to figure out why is this whatever, 45 year old man, who’s not involved with the show, who doesn’t have an album coming out, who has nothing to promote, even sitting through this garbage. Like, you know I go to those things because I have my album coming out October 9th you know, and I think it├óΓé¼Γäós the best record I’ve done so I’m trying to promote that. Other than that I don’t want to go sit through Britney spears lip-syncing and some kid dancing and lip-synching. I don’t want any part of it, but you know it├óΓé¼Γäós part of something you do, so I’m trying to figure out what this guy├óΓé¼Γäós doing there, so whatever, I like that let that go. And then when I came back from the bathroom he’s pretty much sitting in my seat, I’m like that’s it. He’s sitting right next to it yea.
“So, is your thing like I’m gonna ignore it?”
Kid: No. Bitch Slap, Pow.
“Was there any jawing going on before you went to the bathroom?”
Kid: Yea, it’s been going on for 5 years. I did what any man would do, any man across the country, across the world would do. I mean, let me tell you this much, the last contact I had with this loser, who by the way it kills me just to be associated with, to have my name in a sentence with him, it honestly destroys me, I’m like gosh you know, it’s just so bad. Last contact I had with this loser, was when me and Pam were going through our divorce he picks up her email and starts emailing me how much of a bitch I am, and this, that and the other, and I calmly told him, I said, listen I will see you again, I said you know this has nothing to do with you, and that was the end of it because I don’t talk you know. He used her blackberry. It just starts going off, like he’s king. I’m like you know, you’ve seen me plenty of times. It├óΓé¼Γäós always something, it├óΓé¼Γäós always an excuse. And this would be a great opportunity for him to go, ‘you know what, I did run my mouth, I’m going to be a man about it, take my lumps, and now I’m gonna shut up and it’s over’, but I’m sure he’s not that smart.
“Does this basically come down to Pam?”
Kid: No, No, No, No it has the farthest thing to do from that. That was probably the best thing I ever did, was get out of that the day I filed for divorce. In hindsight you can never tell anyone anything about love, but I went through what I went through, and there’s no doubt it wasn’t love, we went through all these things, but then coming out of it pretty much unscathed, after uprooting my son and a lot of things, it’s like thank God I’m out of this, it had zero to do with her. Of course she’ll tell everyone she was the victim in it, like always. ‘I’m the victim, I’m the victim!’
