Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks In Fender Bender

rceb.jpg

Luckily nobody was injured!

Russell Crowe and his co-star Elizabeth Banks were in a car accident with a Pittsburgh fire truck yesterday afternoon!

The pair were shooting a scene for their upcoming film The Next Three Days when a firetruck pulled out of the station, just clipping the front of the van they were in.

Glad they're both safe and sound!

Russell Crowe's A Good Sport

wenn-russcrow.jpg

We think this is a pretty awesome way to respond to the media.

After he was put on blast from an Aussie tabloid writer for eating tacos hand-in-hand with his cycling regimen, Russell Crowe decided to get even…By throwing down a challenge.

He had his reps call the columnist and invite her on his 13 mile cycle run and see if after she endured that torture, she didn't also want a taco or two.

Of course, she happily accepted (whose gonna say no to Russell Crowe?) and we hear she did pretty well.

No word, though, if they hit Del Taco on their way back.

See, sometimes we can all get along!

Feel The Burn!

crowe_bikesmoke.jpg

Doesn't smoking completely negate the benefits of biking????

Russell Crowe could care less!

The actor was spotted lighting up in Sydney before his morning bike ride on Monday, ick!

Ditch the cancer sticks, pls!

Crowe's Manager Denies Pub Ban!!!

wenn-russelcrowe11__opt1.jpg

Of course, he does!

After reports that Russell Crowe was banned from several pubs near the set of his film Robin Hood, his manager, Grant Vandenberg, vehemently denied the facts rumors.

"The only truth to the whole thing is that he has been" to The Brickmakers, a pub in Windlesham, Surrey. "He has been there four or five times with his kids. There is a playground in the back."

We love those Europeans!!!

Beer + playground = See ya around, kiddies!!!

According to an unnamed manager at The Brickmakers, "I'm not exactly sure what he's supposed to have done, but there was apparently trouble and he's been asked not to return. It's not the only place he's been barred from. There are at least two others I know of in the area"

Have another, Russell!

No More Pub Crawls For Russell Crowe

wenn-russelcrowe11.jpg

We hear that Russell Crowe has been taking the message of his new movie, Robin Hood, to heart - in more ways then one.

On the one hand, tales of his generosity have him painted as a changed man. He recently gave a big chunk of cash to a local charity in the UK and even bought a car for a female production staff member when her's went up in flames.

Giving to the poor! That's mighty fine of you, Russell.

Course, he hasn't completely forgotten who he truly is either, as we've also learned that he's been tossed out of 3 bars and pubs in the area for being, well, Russell Crowe.

Apparently, at the most recent place, a "spirited argument over licensing laws" and a bribe to be able to drink after closing time, forced the management to escorted Russell out and ask that he not return again. Being who he is, he didn't leave quietly, as one patron explains that he broke a plate before leaving.

Because the plate really needed to be broken.

Russell's rep denies the story, as any good rep would.

Russell Crowe, Still Being A Diva

wenn52820092.jpg

We've said it before and we'll say it again, Russell Crowe is one major diva.

Recently there's been drama on the set of his latest flick, Robin Hood, with reports that Crowe and director Ridley Scott have been butting heads.

They've been refusing to talk to each other, causing the movie execs to fly in and mediate. Crowe's also been complaining about having the script rewritten so he can have more screen time.

But, now the diva is asking for a private helicopter! Apparently Crowe wants a ride from Windsor to Wales every day to film the movie.

You know, because staying near the set in Cardiff would be too much trouble!

And with filming to begin next week, something needs to be done and quickly. But is spending thousands of dollars each day to fly his ass to the set and back home really worth it?

What do U think? Is that asking for too much or should he get a helicopter ride?

D-I-V-A Alert On The Set Of Robin Hood!

russell__opt.jpg

Trouble is brewing on the set of the new Russell Crowe flick in London!

Director Ridley Scott and Australian actor Crowe have been butting heads since production began on Universal's Robin Hood remake, and it doesn't seem that either will be putting their differences aside anytime soon.

"The producers had to fly to London because Russell and Ridley won't talk to each other," a spy relayed to reporters. "Every time they stop filming, it costs the production millions of dollars."

What divas!

The trouble started even before filming began, with Russell demanding Ridley be booted off the flick because their last collaboration, Body of Lies, was such a disaster! He also was reportedly bitching about his story line, saying the script needed to be rewritten so he could have more screen time!

The chairman of Universal, Marc Shmuger, doesn't think there's a problem at all, of course.

"Ridley and Russell asked us to visit . . . to see more than an hour of footage they've already shot, which was nothing short of spectacular . . . We couldn't be more excited by what we saw," Shmuger told the press.

He continued: "Russell and Ridley are working on their fifth film together and have one of the strongest and most collaborative working relationships. When it's news that a studio chairman and a film's producer [Brian Grazer] visit a production, it must be a very slow gossip day."

Nice try at a spin, bud!

Australians Love Their Celebs

aussiestampsss.jpg

Australia is celebrating some of their most notable actors by placing their images on the country's stamps.

And they're not even dead yet!

The famous Aussies, Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, and Geoffrey Rush, are all getting their own stamps.

TWO stamps actually!

The 55 cent stamps (worth about 35 US cents) will feature a professional photo shot of the actors.

The second stamp will feature each of them in their most notables roles, such as Cate in Elizabeth and Crowe in Gladiator.

Cate even joked that she felt "utterly, deeply humbled and chuffed" by receiving such an honor. I'm going to be licked by millions of Australians and I can't wait."

Dirrrty girl!

Kidman says "Something like this – when you see your face on a stamp – says, 'wow'." Adding that one day her kids might be able to "lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say, 'That's my mum'."

Could you imagine if you saw Tom Cruise on the stamps here?

Who do U think should get their own official US Stamp?

We'd like to lick Robert Pattinson!
