If only he was hitting the Wheaties like he's hitting the sauce!

Kiefer Sutherland ventured into The Spot in San Pedro last week after wrapping up shooting nearby and accumulated a $700 bar tab - at 7am!!!

Although most of it could be attributed to generosity, the tab included several scotch & Cokes the 24 star was throwing back until 11am.

He did, however, buy drinks for the 30 people in the bar AND tipped $200!!!

At least he didn't drive drunk again!

Alright, who's headed to rehab?!

Warner Bros. has decided to postpone production for two weeks on ABC's greatly anticipated drama, V.

The show, which reinterprets the 1980 NBC miniseries about reptile-like aliens who come to earth maintaining a friendly appearance, will halt filming next Wednesday, but the new schedule will not effect the November 3rd series premiere.

The studio would not give specifics on the temporary hiatus, only that the decision would boost the series in the long term.

Warner Bros. TV wants to "take advantage of our November premiere to maximize creative opportunities and deliver the audience the best show possible."

Sounds fishy to us!

Short breaks in production have become more common (i.e. 24), since it gives writers an unusual break for a creative resurgence. Although, we have a feeling Kiefer Sutherland's antics were the cause!

We're sure V will resume production shortly as 14 days is enough time to detox!

Good news for Kiefer Sutherland. The star of 24 has just been named the highest paid TV actor in the US.

So just how much does Sutherland make for playing agent Jack Bauer?

OVER HALF A MILLION PER EPISODE!!!

Kiefer reportedly makes $550,000 per episode of his hit show, beating out Hugh Laurie, the star of House, who makes $400,000 per episode.

But there's some bad news for Sutherland.

The execs at Fox aren't sure if they're going to renew the show's contract after this upcoming season.

Fox's head of programming reveals, "It's going to come down to a business decision. It's not an inexpensive show on the network books and we also want to finish strong. This is not a show we want to prop up."

As predicted, the case against Kiefer Sutherland for headbutting Jack McCollough amounted to nothing. 

The Manhattan District Attorney just threw out the case against the temperamental thesp because, according to sources, "officials determined it was a petty matter that did not rise to the level of criminal conduct."

Luckily for Sutherland, the LA City Attorney feels similarly underwhelmed by the case and will not attempt to use it against Kiefer's probation.

Boyfriend needs to get that anger under control! Does nothing but get him into trouble, even when he does get out of it scott free.

It's the kind of activity you would expect to find Kiefer Sutherland indulging in. After all, the man has a DUI to his name and slugged a guy with his face because he was drunk.

But, now, he is passing the baton over to his just of age daughter and is having a good time in the process!

Reports claim that Sutherland exiting a Lower East side bar in NY Thursday night with his 21-year-old daughter, Sarah Jude, after spending the evening enjoying "Dewar's on the rocks."

We hope this doesn't result in a like father/like daughter event anytime soon!

Kiefer Sutherland is off the hook!

Although the two aren't exactly on the way to becoming BFF's, Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough has decided not to be a "complaining witness" in the assault case against Sutherland.

Sutherland reportedly head-butted McCollough earlier this month at a Met Gala after-party in an attempt to play hero to actress Brooke Shields. The headbutt resulted in a broken nose and bruised ego for the designer.

Lucky break!

Wonder what cau$ed McCollough to change his mind??

Source reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com the exact details of the Kiefer Sutherland headbutting debacle from last week!

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD and - if the LAPD gets involved and takes action against the actor for violating his DUI probation - the headbutting could delay production on the new season of 24.

Our sources explains that both Kiefer and Brooke Shields were "drunk as skunks" and partying hard the night of the Met gala. It was then that designer Jack McCollough did in fact bump into Shields and she fell, but it probably had more to do with the fact that she was wearing very high heels and was loaded than the actual shove.

Brooke was fine, but Kiefer insisted that the fashionista apologize. That is when Kiefer Sutherland went all 24 on the guy, even after Brooke told him to ignore it.

Headbutting ensued and we know the rest.

Oh, except that Brooke Shields was such a waste case, she didn't remember any of this the next morning until she read about .

AND when Kiefer returned after punching McCollough with his face, he had some blood on his forehead.

Says our source, "Brooke was like 'What is that [to the blood]'? She thought it was a joke or maybe cherry juice and LICKED IT!!!!!"

She liked it!!!! Ewwwwww.

Yuck! That is all kinds of gross. And disturbing. And exactly what you would expect of crazy ass celebrities.

Kiefer Sutherland returned to L.A. this week for the early preview of the 24 season finale. And his costars spoke up for him to reporters at the event on Wednesday night, praising him as a great actor and friend.

Among his defenders was long time cast member Carlos Bernard, who referred to Sutherland as "a great guy" and "courteous" to others when the two frequently hang out outside the show.

Others were also on the defense for their beloved Jack Bauer, like Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Bauer's techie side-kick Chloe: "Kiefer has his own way of doing things, and he has his own energy, and he is awesome."

A decision has yet to be made if the charges against Sutherland will affect his probation from his 2007 DUI, but at least he is getting by with a little help from his friends.

Kiefer did not defend himself to reporters, however, as they were asked not to question him about the matter.

Smooth move there publicists!
