Pretty Woman Is Celebrating Turning 25 Years Old By Becoming A Broadway Musical!

no title
Pretty Woman walkin’ down the street… and that street just happens to be Broadway!
The 90s rom com classic (which just turned 25 years old!) is following in the footsteps of The Producers and The Lion King — and most recently Stephen King‘s Misery — and becoming a musical!

Director Garry Marshall shared the news in a statement so joyous, he may as well have been singing:

“I had so much fun doing Pretty Woman the first time around that I’m trying it again as a Broadway musical. We have secured the rights to do a stage adaptation.
To see Vivian and Edward brought to life again with music will hopefully be something to cheer about the second time around too.”

We’re cheering already, and he only just announced it!
Garry will be reuniting with producer Paula Wagner and screenwriter J.F. Lawton, so we’re guessing it’s going to stay true to the original film.
We also understand the show will run exactly one week with a budget of $3000 with strictly no kissing on the mouth! LOLz!
